The block of wood (top image), is the frame of the curves used to form the pieces of thin veneer wood. The four curves were made through the process of bent-lamination; one curve consists of three layers of veneer wood. To produce one curve, three pieces of veneer were first soaked in water to gain more flexibility then glued together and instantly put between the block of wood, gripped with tight clamps, to form its curve. The sides of each wooden curve are stained walnut wood.
